We have several immediate openings for the role of Senior Content Editor or Content Editor supporting our personal finance content (job title and compensation depends on experience). As one of these editors, you will join a small team managing production of webpages on topics such as credit cards, student loans, and mortgages. We have a high bar for quality and speed of execution, so we value editors who not only have a strong eye for what resonates with web readers but who can also prioritize based on considerations of user value, business importance, and marketing strategy.
ABUV has offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the Lake Tahoe/Reno, NV area. The preferred location for this role is Reno, NV.
Drive production of webpage content (including text as well as simple interactive tools and data-driven widgets), working with freelance writers and editors, web designers and developers, including:
Recruit and grow the capabilities of freelance writers and/or freelance editors
Manage special projects as needed to improve editorial processes or meet other business needs
3 – 10 years of professional work experience, including relevant experience such as writing and/or editing consumer-facing financial content (we have multiple positions open in this job family)
Experience working with and improving the productivity of freelance writers
Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing
Basic proficiency in HTML and experience working in content management systems such as WordPress
Work experience explaining credit and loans to consumers or related to the credit card industry
Track record of effective collaboration and project management with remotely based employees/global teams.
